The course focuses on the role played by the “Home Health Aide” in clients’ private homes. HHAs work with individualized Comprehensive Care Plans of clients drawn by the Care Team. They must have a full understanding of what needs to be done in accordance with the Care Plan with details relating to the daily duties to be performed. Students are thought how to take Vital Signs, Infection Control, and HIPAA regulations as well as Fire Safety. The course includes 75.0 hours of theories/skills and 8.0 hours of clinical in Assisted Living setting. Employment opportunities include working for Home Care Agencies and Assisted Living facilities. Most HHAs find it very easy to transition to becoming Certified Nurse Assistants after completing the requisite training.
